Hawaii Trip

When I was in the fourth grade, my family took a trip to sunny Maui, Hawaii. The second I stepped off the plane I could not believe how beautiful and hot it was. Everywhere I looked there were exotic trees and the temperature was in the 90s. My favorite part of the trip was scuba diving. I had never done this before and the sea creatures I saw were unbelievable. There are tons of bright color fish and large sea turtles. Another great part of the trip was eating at Hard Rock Cafe. It was fun to see a restaurant that I know from home in a place so far away. Thinking about traveling to Hawaii?

Chicago

In 1995, my Dad and I took a vacation to the windy city, Chicago. The primary purpose of the trip was to go to the Northwestern-Wisconsin football game. My dad went to Northwestern and is a big fan of their football team. While in Chicago, we did a lot of sight seeing. I really enjoyed seeing Wrigley Field. This baseball stadium has a long history and it was interesting to see it in person. To learn more about Wrigley, check out this website. Wrigley Field

In addition to Wrigley, I also enjoyed visiting the Northwestern University campus. It is located right on the lake and is beautiful. I hope to return there one day with my Dad.

Spring Break

My freshman year of college I traveled to Cancun, Mexico with ten friends of mine during Spring Break. The trip was a ton of fun. We stayed at the Oasis Cancun and spent our days lounging by the pool and hanging out on the beach. The nightlife was also a blast as we went to numerous clubs. My favorite club in Cancun was La Boom. I liked being able to converse with the local people in Spanish, and it definitely helped strengthen my Spanish skills. One aspect of the trip I did not particularly like was the inability to drink the water due to fear of becoming sick. In fact one of my friends drank the water in the hotel and later regretted it. However, I still reccomend traveling to Cancun, as it is a great place. If you want to plan a trip there visit StudentCity's website by clicking here:

Rose Bowl

Last January, a few of my fraternity brothers and I traveled to Los Angeles, Califronia for the Rose Bowl. Our Wolverines were in the game and played the USC Trojans. Overall, the trip was a great experience. While in LA, we made the most of our time. We visited the campus of UCLA, went to Universal Studios, and attended a New Year's eve party at a fancy hotel. Every aspect of the trip was fantastic, except for the actual game. Michigan lost 28-14 and was never really in the game to win it. The game was very dissapointing and made for a long plane ride home. To see statistics of this game, check out the boxscore from ESPN.com: USC-Michigan

The Wolverines are in the Rose Bowl this year again and hopefully this time the outcome will be a better one!!

London Trip

Last summer I traveled to London, England to visit my brother, Josh. He was in London on business and I saw this as a great opportunity to take a vacation. London was a lot of fun and I learned a ton about the culture. We went to a play, visited Big Ben, hung out at pubs, and toured Parliament. If you want to learn about Britain's government, check out this website. Parliament

It was very interesting to hear the British accents of all the local people. Another interesting aspect of their culture is the food. A common dish eaten is "fish and chips," comprised of fish and french fries. To learn more about London restaurants, food, and pubs, click here: Restaurants and Bars

Florida Trip

A few years ago my family and I traveled to Florida. While in Florida, we did many, exciting things. Aside from the beach, Disney World was the best part of the vacation. We went on many exciting rides, such as Splash Mountain. Here is a link to the Disney World. Take a look at the picutres of the park and the different rides.
